2018-08-28: Made It!

Hello!! We just got to the mission home a bit ago. Flights all went good. When we got to the Cochabamba airport there were like 15-ish missionaries singing “llamados al server” (Called to Serve) and the mission president and his wife greeted us. Only six of us arrived today--3 elders and 3 hermanas (sisters). We ate at a food place there, and it was pretty good. Oh ya, I bought Subway and helado (ice cream) in Mexico y Panama. P-day (preparation day) is lunes (Monday). Today we are going to get interviews (with the mission president) and then rest. I’d like to go to work, but I’m super duper tired and that’s what they said we are doing so... it’s all good. Sooo happy to finally be here. Love you lots!!

2019-03-18: Seeing God’s Hand in His Work

Well ... this was a super awesome week. It was a little crazy but amazing to see God´s hand in His work. Ok, so martes/Tuesday was pretty good. We had several good citas/appointments planned with really good investigadores, but they both cancelled. We did contact quite a bit and have tried to find more new people to teach. We found this girl named Eli. She seemed super interested as we explained about the Restoration and asked lots of questions (and knows the Bible pretty well). It was sweet to find and teach her. Later we visited Max (who is like super-duper awesome). We helped him with his Duty to God book for young mens. We also explained he can (and should) share the gospel with his family and invite them to church with him. We also made a cita to have a Noche de Hogar with his whole family. 2020-03-02: Craziest Appointment So Far

Hellos!! THIS WEEK WAS AWESOME!!! Hahaha. We worked super hard and are seeing lots of progress. Attitude is everything in the mission. A good attitude and hard work will always bring good results. GOD IS GOOD.  We have several awesome people preparing to be baptized soon.  Nicol (13 years old) is going to get baptized this Saturday. She’s incredibly smart and is really taking this seriously. She is sooo ready to be baptized. We had a really good talk, telling her to be nicer to her mom, because that’s what Christ would do and if she wants to get baptized she needs to be more Christlike. She understood :) and took it really well. She’s very mature. Mucha nicol (an expression that means “way to go” “you’re awesome”). Rainir is a baller. He’s an industrial engineer and very smart. He’s planning to get baptized the 21st. He just wants an answer from God to be sure. He’s reading and praying every day. GOLD! He’s awesome. We found this lady named Alba...

2018-08-01: Week 2 Ends

well week two was awesome! we had a lot more time to kind of settle down since we had lots of personal study times and not so much classes. we are also teaching two people *our morning teacher and then afternoon teacher* but like next week i think we will actually start teaching real investigators or less active members that our teachers invite. our lessons go pretty good. they are a bit more realistic and tougher questions then the first practice one. I really enjoy it. Me and elder moore are getting pretty good at spanish and do pretty well during lessons. our whole district also made a goal to speak only spanish every day. except for like spiritual lessons where we need to express our selves or when we are just telling stories and messing around. its really good practice tho and we are all improving a ton. I love it here. i also bought a bunch of flashcards at la tienda por 341 pesos on my debit card just so you know. ive made a goal to memorize 20 new words a day and the cards ha...
